Programme Overview

This qualification aims to prepare students for work in the IT industry in the capacity of either a help desk support role or an administration offìce role.

The Certificate in Information Technology (Client Support) is an ideal qualification to choose for those who are keen to begin a career in which they can utilise their problem solving skills and have the opportunity to work closely with other people. It provides the fundamentals in a broad range of areas to provide the perfect platform from which to grow as your career develops.

Note: This programme is only available to domestic students.

What will I learn?

  • The Certificate in Information Technology (Client Support) is a perfect way for those with little or no experience with computers to be able to establish a strong career in the IT industry.
  • Comprehensive training in software applications, hardware, networking, help desk and customer service skills.
  • This qualification provides the expertise to begin a career in a support capacity.

Duration

Completion of the programme takes the following length of time (approximately):

  • Full-time study only: up to 7 months
    Based on 5 shifts/week on campus of approximately 5 hours/shift + 12.5 hours/week home study


Duration includes approximately 5 weeks of holidays and leave (annual & public holidays and allowance for sickness & unforeseen circumstances). Study schedules can also be tailored to meet your needs. Morning, afternoon and evening timetable options are available.

2016 Programme Fees Guide

The following fees apply for both full-time and part-time study:

Qualification Fee:$4,330
Enrolment Fee: $500

NOTE: Qualification fees are a guide only. Actual domestic fees will depend on when a programme is started and what year the qualification is completed. Fees may increase by up to 2% next year, so students will be required to pay this extra on any remaining courses of the programme that need to be completed beyond 2016.
